First Haircut?

How old was your baby when they had their first haircut? My son is only 5 1/2 months but he has so much hair and it’s getting long, It’s going to be in his eyes soon. I really don’t want to cut his hair already. Haircuts make them look so much older 😭

When it gets too long, just have it trimmed. We left my kids hair longer for his first haircut to not be in such shock about it. I don't know why we all get so attached to their hair but we do.

My son will be nine months soon and we probably won't get his hair cut until it is long enough to donate.

I’m in the same boat! 9 months but now his hair is in his eyes 🙈 This is an especially wild hair day. I know his daycare teachers don’t brush the hair out of his eyes and I feel like it must be hard to not have full visibility! 
What Did you decide what to do?

If you don't want to cut it try a head band ( better for at home since it falls down) or put it in a pony.  My girl is 8 months now and her hair is everywhere!   Good luck! 😊

Both of my older two were right around a year. But they were basically bald at birth. My 3rd had a full head of hair at birth so I’m thinking I’m going to be in this boat too.

Similar situation here! My son is 15 months old (I know that’s much older than 5 months) and his hair is pretty long. I’m not opposed to getting it cut but he doesn’t sit still for even a minute unless he’s eating or sleeping , so I feel like a haircut would be a disaster. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think it all depends on how much maintenance you want to do. The longer the hair, the more in needs to be combed and detangled. I agree, shorter hair makes babies look so old! 😭

Mine is 13mo. I've just been trimming what gets in his eyes, but now he has a full on mullet because the rest is so long! Following for advice(I came on here about to post about what haircuts to give baby boys but then saw your post!!)
