Would you discourage your child from saying..
“Don’t touch me.” My daughter is 2. Sometimes she yells at me and tells me not to touch her when she’s being sassy or not getting her way about something. Although I want to teach her respect and the right way to act, as a girl I never want her to be afraid to tell someone not to touch her. I was never molested but I know so many people are and I want to teach her clear boundaries and what’s ok and what’s not from a young age. I’m thinking I’m not even going to tell her not to say don’t touch me to me or my husband because I don’t want her to think it’s a bad thing to say. I’m wondering what other people’s thoughts are about this?
