Cost of clomid

Hi ladies. I’m just wondering what the cost of a clomid cycle is? I’m in Australia. Last year I did a round of gonal f which was successful, but there were mandatory appointments, blood tests, ultrasounds etc as well. So I was discussing ttc number 2 with the gp and saying I didn’t want to jump straight to that as it’s so expensive.

So my question is, Is it the same with clomid? My gp seems to think I can just get a script for it from the specialist and that’s it, no other appointment etc and therefore cheaper? Is this correct?
