Anyone try core organic? Testing too soon after a meal?
Look I know I should be drinking water like a fish, but I have always hated water. Plus, before I got pregnant I could go all day forgetting that I didn’t have anything to drink. I’ve been great with my numbers and have been getting it controlled with diet but I think if I have anymore water or unsweetened almond milk I’m going to lose it. Now I have always preferred Diet Coke over regular taste wise even though I alway tended to avoid fake sugars otherwise. I know after becoming pregnant I did become a little anti fake sugar but now with the GD and then I have “discovered” Coke Zero. I try not to have more than one and sometimes I’ll buy a bottle and sip at it for a couple of days...it’s like a weakness and the only real thing to sweet that I can have right now. I know my numbers are fine. But tonight I ordered a core organic drink with dinner and it says it has zero sugar and claims to have 9grams of carbs 8 of those being erythritol....the bottle says they don’t have affect on blood sugar? Is this true after I drank it all turns out it is mostly made up of coconut water which I always thought could make your blood sugar skyrocket...it’s what I was told anyway. Also if I test about 30 mins after a meal and received a 108 can I go by that number? Do I have to wait exactly one hour to get a proper reading? One thing I saw said don’t test early your readings will be high but another said your number will always the the highest at the hour? Which is it?
