8 dpo and the test was negative am I taking it too early!!!

Today is my 8 dpo and this morning I took a pregnancy test. I was sure I was pregnant I’ve had a lot of bloating and constipation and pelvic pain. Has anyone took a test this early and got a positive result? I took a first response pregnancy test. I just came off of birth control so I may not be right on the day I ovulated, but I was really sure because I normally cramp and hurt on one side or the other when I ovulate and I did on the 26th of February. I also had CM like it says when your suppose to be fertile. 🙄🤷🏼‍♀️🤔
