Small lump in breast

So I’ve had this small lump in my right breast since middle school. I had it checked when I noticed it and it is benign. It comes and goes throughout my cycles. Like sometimes when I feel my breast I can feel it. Other times during my cycle I can’t even find it. I was told by my gynecologist that it’s normal to have lumps that come and go throughout your cycle. Is this true? Or has anyone else experienced this?
