Any other May mommas having a scheduled c section?💙

My due date is May 15th but found out yesterday it's best to have a c section with this baby because of my history of shoulder dystosia with my first son. Haven't scheduled it yet but I'm ready to meet this baby! 9 weeks or less 💙💙💙

This is my first pregnancy, but they're talking scheduling a c section for fear of shoulder dystocia since I am only 5'1" and my baby is measuring in the 95th percentile. I've had time to process it, and I'm really hoping to have the c section. I don't want any complications and the thought of being able to know when to expect the baby is kind of nice!

This will be my second scheduled c section... my first was scheduled because he was measuring to be a big baby - and sure enough he was 9.5lbs. Baby girl is also already measuring ahead, and will def have another scheduled c section since their age gap is only 2 years. Good luck! ❤️

Due may 14 , c section will be May 7 . My hospital doesn’t allow Vbac and my previous child was born via emergent c section

Me! I’m on my 3rd and will be 3rd csection. First(I was 17) I didn’t progress and has emergency csection. Second (I was 25) I had one scheduled but I went into labor at 36w but didn’t progress So they left me in labor until 37w and then emergency csection. This time I considered vbac but I am over an hour away from the hospital this time and I, selfishly, don’t want to go any later than 39 weeks lol so scheduled csection for May 17th it is 😊 good luck momma 💕

This will be my second c-section but first wasn't planned. My water broke 3 weeks early but my little dude was not coming out. I was in labor for 48hrs and finally decided to have c-section. Procedure went smooth and didn't take long but recovery sucked. It was just very sore because they pretty much cut through your stomach muscles but after 2 weeks I was feeling much better. My docter recommended I have another one again but at least I know what to expect this time. Everyone's pain tolerance is different and my recover differently. For me it wasn't horrible and I had my new baby boy to keep me distracted. My due date is May 4th but I should be scheduled 1 week prior, still waiting on finding out.

I have had two c-sections, but this one will be the planned one. 
With my first (emergency c-section) it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. If anything the fear of getting one done was the worst. Recovery was overall good, no infections. Was very sore (not in pain) and so so so tired. 
From what I've read on here, with this one being planned, potentially it should be "easier" with recovery because I didn't spend the hours of pushing and losing lots of blood/fluids beforehand. Just in and out! Plus we get to pick her birthday which is a very fun experience. I'm still nervous though, but I know I will be perfectly ok.

I’m in the same boat with SD. My first was 10lb 11oz and got stuck. Thankfully all was ok in the end but don’t want to go through that again. This one is measuring big too so I am getting growth scans and we will go from there.

I might have to have a scheduled C-Section. My placenta is to close to my cervix. They’re rechecking in 2 weeks to see if it’s moved. I’ll be 33 weeks. So we’ll see if it’s moved. FTM and my due date is May 10.
