Diabetic moms?

Today I was put on insulin for the first time. Does any other moms have to take this? I’m 7 weeks and was type 2 before I got pregnant. Controlled my sugars with my diet but they aren’t all over the place now. So I’m on about 60 units I think is what it’s called? A day. It’s my first time ever using insulin so I’m not sure what to expect. I’m on a very strict diet now and I’ll start my insulin Monday as soon as it comes in. Did any moms have a normal weight sized baby? They freaked me out and said I could have a stillborn and other things if I don’t get it under control now.
