If I turn off notifications on a certain facebook post but someone tags me, will I still get a notification?

Some idiot anti vaccine person is arguing with me and she keeps tagging me when responding. I said I don't want to talk about this anymore. I turned off notifications because I don't want to hear about it anymore. If I turn it off, would I still get an automatic notification when I'm being tagged in a reply?

Yes. I use Facebook for work and after commenting on a thread I always turn notifications off because they pop up every two seconds if I don't. If someone responds to my comment or if I get tagged on another comment I get a notification of that. I don't get notifications when new comments are put on the thread though. You can block them and then you can't see them and they can't see you though. I think that's to only way to stop getting notifications from them
