Ive only told my close friends and theyre all queer as fuck so they were all really cool about it. I actually found out one of them is also ace.

During asexuality awareness week, I made myself a promise. To uncloset to everyone I knew. 
The week before I told my sister and that I wanted to crash at her place because she lived close to The Hague. Where a queer meetup was held at the end of asexuality awereness week. She was understanding and said that if that is important to me, I was more than welcome to stay. My sister had no opinion about it, but wasn't suprised either.
The weekend before I was at my dad's and just couldn't bring it up. On tuesday, my dad drove me home and I knew that was my last chance. He was totally supportive despite not quite understanding what it meant. Though being aroace is easier to explain I guess. He said something beautiful: "There needs to be space where you can be yourself, and there is room for you." He also said it was fine if I ever brought a girl home. Thanks dad, you're awesome!
Then a few days pass and I told my best friend I uncloseted to my dad and sister. We were in the car with my dad and decided to form a plan on how to uncloset to my mom. It came with an escape plan where my friend and father would go to the car early and wait for me. My mother didn't take it well and said all the things like "that's impossible" and "you'll find the one." Please... I'm 23 and never brought anyone here I expressed feelings for. She was quite panicky and asked about kids. I blurted I'd sooner adopt and laughed nervously. Then I decided to scoot after my mom said: "We will talk about this. They are waiting for you."
She is still in denial. I think. We haven't spoken about it.
Immidietly I moved to my sister's place after that. Had the meetup. Everything was awesome. Decided to write texts to my friends on the last day. People were open about it. Some decided to lecture me on sexual repression. But all in all, good. I can make ace jokes everywhere now. Worth it.

My coming out story isn’t a great one. I told my sister and a few friends first and they were cool with it, but for some reason one of my friends told everyone else in our class about it (we went to private school so there was only about 100 kids) and it spread like wildfire. People asked me crazy questions to try to make me out myself as a fraud but I obviously wasn’t. It eventually died down but some people were kinda weird around me after that, but others were totally accepting and it was great. I got closer to some people because of it. I think it’s great that you’re coming out but please be careful with who you trust. If you’re ready to tell everyone go for it, and if you’re not that’s okay too.

Told my mum when she wouldn't stop bothering me about being on my own. I don't think she understands, or she might a bit because all she said was "oh I think I'm like that".
I came out to some of my colleagues by explaining my ace ring on a night out.
I post it all over my social media for all my other friends and I am determined to educate everyone I meet about the split attraction model to help others understand themselves better lol.
