Vegas with a baby?

So my mother in law is coming to visit her first grandson here in California. Shes never been to California to visit us so we wanna show her a good time and not be stuck up in our apartment. So we decided to take a quick 2 day trip to Vegas to show her the nice hotels, eat at the buffets and shop. Should I feel bad for bringing my 1 month old son? We are going during the week so it's not going to be that much of a crowd and we arent going to be hanging out in the casino area. What do you guys think, I dont wanna be a bad mother but he sleeps all day anyways also I dont want my mother in law bored at the house. Vegas is only 3 hours away! HELP ME!
