Did you work while going to school?

Question

If so what was your job? How many hours did you work? Did you live in your own place, have roomates, live at home, in dorms? How much were you making and were you living comfortably/not struggling?

Yes. I worked in a lab for a year (only 10 hours a week). Then this year I work at a coroner’s office (18 hours in office then 8-48 hours on call). I share a two bedroom apt with a friend. My parents pay my rent though so I can focus on getting experience and studying.

I had to live at home and work nights flipping burgers to pay for college but I didn't have student loans when I finished. My parents couldn't pay for college but they let me live rent free.

I worked anywhere from 40-60 hours per week while working on both my BS (major in biomedical science, minor in psychology) and MS (public health) degrees. The first two years I worked at a pizza place, smoke shop, and gas station lol. The last two years of my BS I worked as a phlebotomist and medical scribe. The two years during my MS I worked as a lab assistant, implemented a diabetes program at my local health department and held clinic 1-2 times per week for the impoverished, and worked as a behavioral therapist for kids of the autism spectrum. I volunteered during all 6 years as well. 
I originally wanted to go to medical or physician assistant school and maintaining a job, doing research, having volunteer hours, and a high GPA are all requirements so I hardly had time to remember to breathe lol.

I work at an office job doing sales full time and I take 5-6 classes a semester. I bought my first home when I was in my second semester of college. My first i was staying at my parents because i was 17. I did take a year break between the semesters, at the time i was working at a bank. I’m in my last year now, still work full time. I have an 18 month old now. So I would say we are comfortable in the sense that our bills are paid but I’m not rolling in extra spending money. I would probably have extra money if I didn’t move across the country and buy a different house.

Yup i worked 32 hours a week as a salon receptionist. Lived at home then moved into some cheap old apartment w my bf at 21 (now husband). We were so poor, prob shouldve lived at home for a couple more years

Not my first year, but when I left that school and decided to come home, I had my first job at my dads work helping his assistants and worked 9-5 monday-Friday and it lasted like a month and then I got a full time nanny job right when I turned 19. But working and going to school full time and having a new boyfriend was way too much. Then I got a part time doggy daycare job and then started culinary school and now I’m front of house at a bakery 3 days a week and a full time culinary student with a year left! I don’t know how people work full time and go to school full time! But I also live at home still and my parents just make me pay my car payment.

Yes I worked a corporate job 40 hours a week plus took on 3-5 classes per semester depending on the semester and class availability. My job reimbursed me for all the class costs except the cost of books
