Fever help

I went to doc. Don't have strep or flu. But I have 100.5 fever and extreme body aches and sore throat. They did. Not. Give. Me. ANYTHING. So my sister gave me her left of amoxicillin (mom said it was okay). Take ibuprofen 400mg every 5 hours. and I've been taking mucus relief and drinking water. LOTS. I changed into shorts and shirt even though I'm freezing.. any better ideas?

UPDATE:

Okay. Threw the antibiotics away. So, what can I do to break this fever? Ibuprofen isn't very good for my heart but it's all I have.
