The secret to a helpful husband 🤫

I’ve been married for almost five years. We have two furry babies and they both shed a lot. I’m always trying to keep our place neat and organized. I have a full-time job, cook often, clean the apartment almost every weekend (specially because of the dogs, but we also use a rumba), do the house laundry (towels, bed sheets, rugs) and my husband “does” his laundry and clean the dishwasher, but only when I ask him and more often then not, he “forgets” and I end up doing it myself

I don’t like when the apt os disorganized and hate having to nag my husband to do something. He used to help A LOT when we were first married, but for the past few years he only does stuff when I ask.

Today I got up and noticed he didn’t empty the dishwasher as I asked, so I did it myself. Then I thought 💭 there’s so much stuff to do a home and I don’t want to spend my Sunday cleaning, so I walked up to him and said:

Me: “would you prefer washing the towels and bed sheets or organizing the bedroom?”

Husband: “laundry 🧺 “

Me: “and would you rather vacuuming the apartment or cleaning the bathroom?”

Husband: Vacuuming 🧹

Now he’s already doing the laundry and vacuuming lol

I’m sooo glad that worked!!! I’m going to start giving him options that are acceptable to me from now on! #wifepower
