Stages of Dating?

Trying to understand the stages of dating in different cultures.. please share.. trying to be optimistic in my current relationship..

Different cultures date differently but you also have to think generationally. Typical Americans used to go on dates with many different people, would pick one that they felt they truly connected with and they would become bf/of exclusive. Now we have a shift where people meet, hook up, and then later start thinking about dating. There are some people who stay to the typical dating way, but majority appears to behave this way now (at least from what I've seen). In different cultures they have different expectations and there can be arranged marriages and such. Stages of dating is an incredibly hard topic to write about due to this. I'd maybe try to pick 1 or 2 cultures to compare and contrast how they date if that's the kind of paper you're going for.

Completely different for every couple. My partner and I have been together 15 years and definitely didn’t follow dating norms...we aren’t married and it’s not that big of a deal to me and we have a 10 month old and another on the way.
