Taking Initiative

I’ve never been one to initiate sex with my husband. I enjoy sex, but I never really feel the need to where I’m the one trying to get things started. This puts a lot of strain on my marriage, because he thinks my less than eager libido translates to a lack of interest or desire for him altogether.

I don’t want him to feel that way and I want to become more of an initiator, but I don’t know how to get started or what steps to take. I can’t seem to work my mind up to it without feeling awkward or embarrassed. How should a recovering prude get things started with the man she loves?
