Magick for school

I’ve been doing a spell for about a year that’s supposed to help me in school. I’m in a tough program and suffer from pretty bad test anxiety and ADHD. Before starting the spell, I ground myself and meditate a little. Then I light some sage and clear my space. After that, I cast a circle and call the elements to me in order, then I speak from the heart. Usually I thank the elements and guides for helping me in the past, I ask for help to keep me calm and collected and to help my recall on what I’ve learned, I remind myself during this time that I have put in the work and know the material. Then I thank them and say bye.

What is your opinion on using magick in this way? I’m not doing it with the intention of getting better marks than deserved, I’m doing it to help me stay collected and calm to get the marks I do deserve and have put the work in for. Doing this the night before the exam helps keep me calm the next day, I feel like I’m supported and most times I do well or at least pass (which passing is a 76% in my program, I get in trouble for anything under 80% though).

I know all practitioners aren’t the same but what do you think of this? I personally don’t feel it’s wrong because I’m not asking for an advantage or hurting anyone, my goal is to get help to stabilize my own issues that hurt my ability in exams. My career field is one in the public service sect helping those that are dying, sick, have injured themselves, or are bringing new life to this world. In order to help others better, I have to get through my program.
