Need some insight..

I’ll make this short even though I could go on about every detail. Met a guy on a dating app, hit it off instantly. We’ve been talking for weeks, start to plan to meet in person. I find out he has a girlfriend. He’s been honest with me about EVERYTHING from his past(trust me, I do my detective work). Tells me he’s in the process of leaving because she cheated and can’t trust her, and he was on a dating site again just to see if there’s still a chance for him(I went through the same thing a year ago, so no judgement). Didn’t think he end up falling for someone. Stopped using the app after connecting with me. Anyways, He finally sat down with her and said he can’t be with her. Guess they have a history though so she’s guilting him into staying, “I was there for you during this and that”. He’s very torn because he’s “never experienced such strong feelings for someone else”. Already shown me off to his friends and done things that people looking to invest in a serious relationship do. I was very honest and upfront saying “hey I want you to give me a chance, I really like you, but the choice isn’t mine”. The way I see it, if you really still have true feelings for the first person, you would be torn between a second. We’re both handling this fairly maturely, it’s not just a booty call hookup thing, and he’s been totally honest and upfront to me. again I’ve been in a very similar situation before;over a relationship before I could end it, searching, and then being cheated on and lied to about everything which is why I have more investment in this. He’s genuinely interested in me and is torn about what to do. I guess what I’m just looking for is advice and feedback because I’m going crazy waiting for him to figure this out.
