How do you check your BBT?

I’ve seen many different views on how it should be checked, I just wanna know what’s most accurate & common.

I tried orally for 2 cycles then switched to vaginally, and have stuck with it ever since. I get much better/clearer patterns, had waaay too many variants with oral temping

I temp orally but I don’t breath through my mouth at night which helps ALOT.
Part of me wishes I did it vaginally so that I didn’t have to worry about talking or drinking water before temping but I also want to take it during my cycle and I felt it would be gross to do it this way. 
Which ever method you pick just stay consistent :)
