Would you ask for an induction?
I know some women’s views on inductions and I know the risks as I’ve had one with my first. Thankfully it didn’t end in any extra intervention. Baby was healthy and it was a full term induction.
The problem is my husband is working in another state and the only way to guarantee he will be there for sure during my delivery is to have an induction scheduled. If baby happens to come early (which I doubt) or if we wait for her to come my husband will not have time to book a flight and get there in time. The hospital I will be at interferes with my phone service as well. Meaning I cannot contact my husband once I step foot in there. So the worry of him not making it on time stresses me to no end. I’ve had horrible anxiety about it. I obviously will be speaking to my doctor about it and he’s already mentioned an induction date but I turned it down before my husband went to work because I didn’t see a need to get induced. But now things have changed and I need my husband there. Would you get induced if your doctor agreed to it just to have the reassurance of your husband being there?
