My husband wants me to stop breastfeeding
I'm 14 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and our first just turned 1. My daughter was having her morning breastfeed and my husband says "You're gonna have to quit that soon" and I just said "Why?". So we got into an argument about him saying that I have to stop breastfeeding before the new baby is born (Our first will be 18 months) because tandem feeding is weird. What he said really upset me because I thought he was going to be supportive.
I didn't say I would tandem feed, just that it was an option. I just want my daughter to wean herself when she's ready and I'm not ready to quit right now either, I love the special bond. His family keeps saying I need to quit too and my MIL keeps trying to give her bottle of cows milk because that's how she weaned her kids.
Anyway. I don't really know why I'm posting this. For advise I guess? Should I quit now? Did anyone else end up tandem feeding?
