My baby can’t get enough

I have been breastfeeding my 1 month old baby 5-6 hours straight with only 10-15 minute breaks. He was like this in the beginning. And mostly happens during daytime. At night time he sleeps and when he wakes he only needs to be breastfed a couple of minutes. Does that mean my baby is starving ? This happens most of the days. Some days they are 2-3 hours but some other days it can go up to 7 hours ! If I put my baby down he will start crying and opening his mouth trying to look for my boob. When i give him the pacifier he won’t take it because he’s hungry. Does this ever happens to anybody else?

Plus he has not gained weight !
