2nd dose of MTX - pregnancy of unknown location

I had my first dose of methotrexate last Friday and my HCG levels were at 555.

Today at my 7 day draw, my levels were at 1850.

They have done 6 ultrasounds the last 2 weeks and have yet to locate the pregnancy. I had a uterine biopsy done last week and it came back negative so they were able to identify that the pregnancy is located outside of my uterus, but they have no idea where it is. They have ruled it “pregnancy of an unknown location.” I’m honestly so confused and disappointed that the MTX didn’t work and I had to have another round of it. It made me feel SO bad and they told me it’s worse the 2nd time around 😫

My dr said that if this round doesn’t work then the next step is surgery.

Has this ever happened to anyone else where your levels INCREASED after methotrexate then the 2nd dose worked and their levels decreased?

Also would LOVE to hear some successful pregnancy after ectopic/MTX stories to make me feel better because I am terrified about my future fertility after all of this 💔 I just want my rainbow baby.
