I’ve been with my boyfriend for 6 years now, we’ve never had issues with sex until recently. I’ve been on the mirena IUD for 3 years now and the past few times we’ve had sex it’s been extremely painful. There’s enough lube, nothing has changed. It feels as if the walls of my vagina are sore or if there’s a knife going in me. The other strange thing is that it causes my boyfriends penis to burn and become slightly red. Neither of us experience any pain or symptoms until we have sex. Has anyone experienced this? Is this related to my birth control?
