Edible play dough?

My almost two years old got Play-doh as an early birthday present from his aunt. The problem is he's always trying to eat it and gets frustrated when told he can't. So do you know any recipes for a dough that can be played with and also eaten? Maybe some kind of cookie dough or something?

Maybe reintroduce it when he’s a bit older. And just reinforce that no he can’t eat it. If you give him something edible he might get confused and think all play dough like things are edible.

I gave my son play doh at around 18 months and he did the same. I just told him no eating, it’s for playing and I bought the tools to cut it up and mold it into shapes and now he’s 22 months and won’t eat it at all. I still watch him when playing with it. Maybe just take it away and tell him no eating. Then keep trying to bring it out every day or every other day until he understands it’s for playing not eating.

2 is probably not old enough for playdoh. My niece is 4 and she is not old enough for it either. She makes a huge mess and doesn't close the lids etc. I think playdoh is something for older kids because it's hard to teach them not to eat it and clean it up when they are that little.
