Theres an actual difference

I find it funny that some people don’t know the difference between a boyfriends mom and an actual mother in law! I’m sure the boyfriends parents don’t like their sons girlfriends because they think they’re already married. It’s a whole new ballgame when you’re married to someone versus a girlfriend/fiancé. My MIL treats me better now that I’m his wife but since girls have hurt him in the past I’m sure she was just being protective! Not in a mean way my MIL always liked me but it’s different now. Again it’s just funny to me how girlfriends complain about their boyfriends mom and say MIL when in fact they’re just the girlfriend
