Exams/Delivery after Trauma

Hi Everyone,

If you're a survivor of sexual trauma, did you have a difficult time with vaginal exams? What about the delivery process?

I had never been to an OB before I got pregnant (8wks along now), and just had a pap smear for the first time ever, after a transvaginal ultrasound (I'm in my late 20s). It kinda sucked and I told my OB vague info about my past. She reassured me that they'll take their time and explain what's happening in the future. But I'm still kind of freaking out about childbirth, and the exams leading up to that day.

Any reassurances? Thanks in advance - and I'm sorry you had to endure what you did. ❤
