Maternity clothes for baby shower gift?

Is it okay to add a couple maternity clothing items to a baby shower gift registry? I would just like maybe one pair of shorts and a nursing bra. Is that strange and/or rude?

I don’t think so!! Especially if you can use them post baby (: baby showers are always made about the baby- as they should be but it’s rare people thinks of stuff mama will need with a new born. I think its more than reasonable!  Add some heavy duty pads on there while you’re at it 😂😂😂

I think nursing clothes/bras is okay to add. Maternity shorts isn't necessarily rude, but most people buy for the baby or for post partum gear, not pregnancy clothes.
