Anyone have any ideas? We’ve been together 4.5 years. We are committed and I know that but I’d really like to get married and take that next step.

Forcing it or making it happen on your timing is not the answer. Be patient and wait for him to come to that decision on his own. Trying extra hard to influence him to do it will only leave you disappointed.. stop and be content for what you have in the now. . If it's meant to be, it'll be.
