Brushing your toddlers teeth

This is one of the activities that I have grown to dislike the most. Please tell me how you make it easier.

She’s almost two and just wants to brush her own teeth - won’t accept help. I try a couple different brushes so she can hold one and I can hold one, I try a washcloth but she just bites me, I try a toothbrush song, I try to make it fun/like a game, I give her a baby doll so she can brush the baby’s teeth while I try to brush hers, I try laying her on my lap, but she doesn’t want my help. Is there a way to get this done that doesn’t involve holding her down, screaming, and crying?
