2cm dilated with an inducement date of April 1

Hi I’m 37 weeks and 5 days. I have an inducement date of April 1 due to carrying lots of fluid. I had strong contractions yesterday and some leakage. Thought maybe my water broke and went to the hosptial.

Unfortunately my water didn’t break but I did find out I was 2 cm dilated and last week at my check up I was not dilated at all. Hosptial sent me home.

Contractions were stronger yesterday and last night varying from 5-10 minutes apart. Today contractions have decreased but can be strong at times.

Anyone with similar experience? Thoughts? Do you think I’ll have to wait to meet my little guy until my inducement date? I just want him to come!!!
