Need mom help

Is it ok to give a kid benadryl to make them sleepy my boyfriends mom gives his baby brother it to make him sleepy and they also try to do it with our kid which i totally disagree with

Also my 2 year old has been doing this thing were she crys and crys and this is the second time shes done it and peed on herself i dont know if its because shes sick or if she's doing it for attention terrible 2's?

Just wanted to make sure I wasnt crazy
