Ideas for this space?

Idk where to post this but we’ve lived here for 2.5 years and I cannot for the life of me figure out what to do with this far wall. It’s set up real awkward. 
We did try 2 accent chairs but it’s awkward with the walkway into the dining room and also weird angle to see the tv. 
Baby stuff is temporary and can/will be moved 😂

I’d personally do something like this. 
That way you have storage space, and places that are both (mostly) out of reach of the kids, yet can display your own stuff, and be perfect for showing off toddler artwork etc. 
I also like where your sectional is now, especially since you little ones to keep in view, and an eye on.

Plants! Right next to the window so that’s what you see when you’re walking into the room. 
Or a piece of furniture designed for a corner. Like a corner hutch.

You can make a play space, with a play kitchen and children's table with chairs and maybe a play tent. Or put up some kind of shelf system. Ikea has one called Kallax  with you can modify after your own needs, with boxes, drawers etc. We have one of those and it's great. Then you can have toys in boxes where your child can reach and higher up you can have your own stuff and decor.

I’d get a big wall painting , maybe a accent rug under it to give some nice color.

You could do an entire wall of storage cubes, giving you space to put books/movies/plants etc. I have almost 500 DVDs, so that’s what we decided to do with this wall 🤷🏻‍♀️ lol

I’d move the couch to line up with the door along the one wall and move the tv to face the new couch position. Possibly put bookshelves along the open wall behind the couch?
