moving in together??

i’m currently in college and my financial aid has decreased tremendously which means that my room and board has doubled for next year and i will have to find a better job to pay for it. but, i could move off campus into an apartment with my current roommate (who is in the same financial situation) and my boyfriend. her boyfriend is moving to this area next fall (2020) and would move in with us then. so it would be better for all of us financially but i’m just looking for outside opinions that aren’t biased by anything. thanks ❤️

Oh definitely! It’s a good idea! With 4 people is manageable. Especially if it’s 2 rooms instead of 4. Even if the rent is 1k a month that’s only $250 each. 
However it depends on how much money you make right now. I get about $600 a month with my job. And you need to factor in other expenses! Car note $200 a month gas $80 a month food $75 a month. Credit card pay off $50 a month. Then you don’t have enough to cover all your rent 
If you really really want to do this I would work as much as you can this summer and save every penny. So you’ll always have extra money to dip into for rent when you fall behind. 
Also with multiple roommates you run the risk of them not paying their share of the rent and then none of you will have a place to live. 
This is a smart idea but you have to make sure you can handle it. 
Side note: I’m kind of in the same situation so I’ve thought about this A LOT!!

Just be careful. I'm doing the same thing and it turns out that sharing rooms with significant others or having more than on person per bedroom means they can charge more for rent.
