Will my inexperience hurt me?

I am a rising college freshman but I haven't had any experience in relationships. My parents "no dating in high school" ban is now lifted and I'm excited to maybe meet someone in college but I haven't had my first kiss, date, or have even ever had the courage to tell someone that i like them. I'm scared that my inexperience will leave me more susceptible to get taken advantage of or manipulated in my first relationship. Do you think it Will?

On the contrary, you will come to the table with a lot less baggage. I didn't date until college. Because of that I was actually very picky. I didn't waste my time on anyone that was just looking for a hook up. I went on more first dates than I can count and only a few second and third dates. I started dating my husband in my third year in college. I was still a virgin at the time. He's the only guy that ever made it past a 3rd date and we've been together for the last 21 years. 
College is a lot of fun. But it can be a huge distraction to finally have so much freedom for the first time. Stay focused on your studies and the rest will fall into place.

I didn’t have an relationship experience until I was 19 and while most people think that everyone has had experience in high school it’s actually very common that people don’t. I think you’ll be fine, you just need to be true to yourself in knowing what you really want from a person (whether it be a relationship, or just friendship, or a FWB sorta thing). I feel the biggest mistake most people make is wanting to be with someone so they lie to themselves about what they want to fit what the other person wants, and that’s how you get hurt. Good luck!
