Telling parents overseas

I want my mum to be the first to know. And even though I think it’s too soon to tell anyone I think I’d like to tell her this weekend when it’s Mother’s Day in the UK. (I live in the USA)

My husband and I are in between houses, our sold so fast we haven’t found a new one yet so for now we are living with his parents and I don’t know how long I’ll be able to hide this pregnancy from them. So I thought even though it’s early if I tell my parents now at least they’re the first to know.

Do any of you have any ideas on how to break the news via FaceTime other than just blurting it out? It’s going to be a tough conversation no matter what but at least I can let them be the first to know.

I’m hoping I can announce to my in laws on mother’s day in the US in May when I’m 12 weeks but I don’t know if we’ll be able to hide it that long!
