Safe to use for cracked nipples?

I haven’t given birth yet but with my older daughter I had serious latch issues that resulted in very painful breastfeeding and ultimately led me to stop. This time around I have nipple shields ready and know the shape of my breasts aren’t ideal for nursing. My question is: is this cbd salve safe to use after feedings? I would obviously wipe any product off before feeding again but not sure what gets absorbed into the breast tissue. This is a locally made item from the farmers market that I currently use for my face. Thanks in advance!

Tbh I wouldn’t because if the CBD oil, I don’t think it’s bad but I wouldn’t want my infant ingesting it. Coconut oil was a life saver for me

I wouldn’t, I know most of the CBD will be absorbed by you but I wouldn’t let any cbd products near baby’s mouth. Just use a plain oil.

I 2nd the CBC oil comments, but I also think you want to stay away from bees wax as well. Babies under 1 can’t have honey due to risk of botulism. I’m not 100% but I’ve heard you should avoid bees wax products because it could have trace amounts 😬

I use motherlove nipple cream and it is amazing! I currently use is on my face at night, lol. It is organic and doesn’t require you to remove it before breastfeeding. It goes on very easy and I lasts for such a long time. I order it on amazon.
