Is one insert enough?

I was gifted a huge lot of cloth diapers and for one of the brands there's only one insert per diaper. Is this normal and do you only use two overnight?
I have a 2 year old and I'm totally clueless!! :)

My friend can get by with one insert with her 2 year old, day and night. My daughter has to have 2 during the day and 3 at night. It depends the child honestly.

During he day one insert is fine you just have to change it a little more often. 
Over night I don’t think one will work unless they don’t really pee much. I have never had luck with pockets over night. But that is not to say it would never work.

I use two microfiber  inserts just to be safe at 7 7wks. But most of the time I can get away with a single insert during the day.

Note important is the fabric you use.  Hemp can hold a heck of a lot more than microfiber, but because it absorbs so slowly it is better to combine different fabrics.
