Has anyone tried Sneak Peek?

Sneak peek is a service where you mail in a blood sample and they tell you the gender of your baby. As early as 9 weeks. The company says you can get a full refund if they are incorrect. I'm considering it, but I wanna make sure it isn't a scam.

I would see if the dr would do the blood test for genetic disorders and it tells you gender

I’ve done the actual DNA screening test through my midwives (covered by insurance because I’m over 35) and will do it again. I think the DIY Sneak Peek one uses exactly the same science and is legit, there’s just more risk for user error when taking a sample at home. I would definitely consider it if I couldn’t get the “real” version for free.

I haven’t but I had my OB appointment today and he convinced us to do it because they use the same technology as the expensive clinical ones.
He said the only difference is that YOU are doing the complicated stuff and the “mistakes” are usually caused by something the person did wrong at home. The husband should not be near it too. DNA sheds and can mess up the test.

I want to but heard so so many bad reviews. I did hear that it was better if you went to a clinic or facility who drew the blood for you is better, it avoids contamination. The directions are very strict.
