North Carolina and snakes?

Hello everyone. We r in Nebraska right now trying to move in north Carolina( Raleigh)in couple months. Today one of my friend said that her dad was traveling in north Carolina and saw there lots of snakes everywhere.... I'm so scared to move there. Is it true? Is anyone from north Carolina here to answer this question?

You'll typically see a black or green garden snake over anything.. and its rare to see one of them.. especially in The city.

It depends on where you are. If you’re out in the woods you will probably see snakes but it’s not often we find them outside near our house.

Raleigh, if you live in the city... Won't have many if any snakes 😂 but if you live in the country (outskirts) you'll find a copper head once in a blue moon or a black/green garden snake on occasion, which are harmless and just eat mice and junk.. but thatd be pretty rare as well.

They aren't just slithering through our back doors and up through the pipes into our toilets lol yes we have A LOT of snakes, quantity and types, but even with a creek and 2 acres of woods behind my house I've seen maybe 4 in the past 10 years anywhere near my house. Now in the woods or going fishing somewhere is a different story, you'll more than likely see them. North Carolina isn't a giant snake pit, we just have a lot. They're scared of you, they don't wanna be in your house getting their head chopped off with a shovel

Snakes live everywhere. North Carolina does have a large snake population, but they’re not typically bothersome. Just make yourself familiar with what to expect whichever region you’re headed to.
