Strange period this month

Ok, so my periods are usually 7 to 8 day long, and then by day 7 or 8 its gone. This month however was totally different. My period started off normal, day 4 was just residue but then on day 5 my period came on so heavy that I soaked a pad in 1 hour and blood ended up on my jeans. The next day it went back to residue and that lasted up to cycle day 10, then it was completely gone. On cycle day 11 I started to have back pain, lower abdominal cramps and pink mucus discharge which is still going on now on today, cycle day 15. Anyone have a similar experience?
