Will you be putting your baby in daycare after maternity leave is up?

Wanted to go down to part time so that I wouldn’t have to put our daughter in daycare but my bosses don’t want to work with me :( so we decided to put her in daycare after 12 weeks which makes me nervous but there’s no other option. What’s everyone else planning on doing?

I’m 32 weeks with my 3rd child. I have always gone back to work. With first. I went back right at 12 weeks. Second I went back around 5.5 months. And with this one I will go back after 12 weeks but slowly ramp up hours. I have a great job and I feel like working is important for me to be who I am. So I choose to work. Is it hard to drop the baby off? Yes of course!!! But I was brought up the same Way. My mother always worked. Do not feel guilty. People judge bc we bring our kids to day care. And if you stay home with your child people
Judge you for not going back to work :). Who cares. This of the socialization your child will get. And  the skills they will learn while
You make money and support your family.

I’m looking into an in home daycare as my option when I go back from maternity leave at 12 weeks. I want to try and put off daycare until she’s at least 6 months if I can. A year would be even better but I may not be that lucky

My sister is a SAHM going to school full time. I am paying her a fraction of the cost to watch my daughter and I am changing my schedule to help facilitate pick ups and drop offs for he kids as well. I feel so relieved knowing my girl will be home with family since I have to go back to work at 8 weeks PP.

I’m a server so no maternity leave so babe will be going at 6 weeks.

We were going to part time but my MIL freaked out. She watches my older son (did 5 days a week when he was tiny. He now goes 2 days to daycare for socialization...and we love it there so I had no problem enrolling this little one as a baby) so baby will go to her house 2 days a week and she will come watch both kids at my house 3 days...supposing I don't go to subbing 2-3 times a week versus full time teaching.

I’m working nightshift weekends only at the hospital so I won’t have to do daycare

My son will be almost 15 months by the time he goes to daycare (I’m taking a year’s mat leave and then my husband is off for the summer as a teacher). My firstborn was the same age when he started daycare (also a June baby) and it was hard to leave him but we found an excellent centre and he’s benefited in so many ways. I know it was the right choice for us.
