Ringworm 😖

So my boyfriend just moved back in town from working a couple hours away for the past 5 months. Today was my first time seeing him in a week and he had a ringworm above his lip. He works closely with horses because he train them for races which is probably where he got it from. Idk what to do. He tried to kiss me earlier but I didn’t want to kiss him and we share the same bed. I’m paranoid right now because when I read up on it, it says that it’s highly contagious.

Has anyone had to deal with this with a spouse or child? Is there any precautions I need to take so I won’t get it?
