Confused...preg or not?

I'm 8 DPO and this morning I grabbed what I thought was a pregnancy test and got a blazing positive. I was so excited until I realized I'd accidentally  grabbed an opk test out of the box and that was what gave me the positive. I then took a First Response test and got a BFN. So I'm super confused. Why would get I get a positive opk this late in the game? And is it possible I'm still pregnant? Are opk's better at picking up pregnancy hormone than First Response?

That OPK isn’t positive. Doesn’t mean anything if hpt is negative :/

You get a second surge of lh in the mid to late luteal phase pregnant or not. That's what you are picking up on the opk. You don't ovulate during this second surge, it's just how the hormones naturally rise and fall.

Yea you get a LH surge which is for the OPK just before AF! 😢😢
