My baby girl became a woman

I know It’s not related to my pregnancy but i don’t want to tell any of my friends or family her news, it’s not my place so I’m coming here to share the story lol

So my baby girl is now a woman, she got her first period today. I’m so thankful that it happened on the weekend and not at school but I was so not ready for this! Poor thing came to me crying her eyes out and was scared her clothes were ruined. I have her a big hug and reassured her that everything would be fine and the blood would come out. So we just stood there for a couple minutes hugging and crying together. I’m emotional obviously so I was crying with her lol I taught her how to use a pad and gave her whatever tips I could. now she’s laying in bed watching videos about periods. I don’t want this to be a bad experience for her because it’s not a bad thing so I just hope I did ok
