Anyone else’s S/O not help with baby at all/does bare minimum when asked to help?

My husband has always been amazing about helping with our baby and our house. I rarely have to ask and he's already helping.

Dont know yet for another 18 weeks lol. But I can you that after carryi g her for 9 months and labor, and having a 5 year old to care for as well, HE IS GOING TO HELP OR I WILL KILL HIM AND HIDE HIS BODY. :)

It’s one of the benefits of marrying someone who already has a child, you get to see their capacity of a parent before having your own child together. 
My husbands role was supporting me for the first six weeks as I had a c section, though I recovered quickly he is a stickler for the rules so I was often in our reclining armchair with baby and he did all fetching and carrying. 
He’s always been very good at making sure I have as much “me time” as I need. Be that a long shower/bath or sleep or whatever. He encouraged me to leave the baby with him at various points but generally speaking in the early days I could only manage to do that to do grocery shopping, otherwise I wanted the baby with me anyway! 
Now I’m back at work we have fallen into a routine for during the week. And each weekend we just make sure we keep communicating so we can both get done what we need. (One of is wants a lie in? Fine, the other gets up with baby at 6. Other sleeps till 10 then can swap if more sleep is needed) 
Lie in is no later than 10 in our house now. 
If there’s something your SO isn’t doing or you feel unsupported tell them and explained what they can do to help.

My husband doesn't help, but he can't really. He works graveyard, 7 nights a week, 15 hour shifts and an hour commute each way. He offers to help when he is here, but most of it would interfere with his sleep. He works a very mentally and physically demanding job around dangerous equipment. Any slip up from lack of sleep could be deadly. So I pretty much do everything. He will entertain my 6 month old while I get my toddler breakfast. But the bulk of the work with the kids is during the time he is asleep or at work. He really only gets an hour after work to be with the kids and maybe 30 minutes or so before he leaves for work.
