Friends wants ME to pay for her car damage

Where I live we have giant yellow poles stopping cars from hitting and breaking our gas meters. Unfortunately my friend pulled into my driveway and flung her door open which hit the pole and damaged her car.

She now expects me to pay for the damages as it wasn't her fault that it was there and she is incredibly annoyed at me for not warning her.

To start I was inside, and secondly you'd think she would of seen it when she drove in. And why would you open your door with such force?

I'm afraid this will end our friendship. I do feel really bad for her but I just don't see myself accountable
