What to do about armpit lumps?

Milk came in yesterday and I have the biggest lump under one arm. I’ve tried massaging it and I nurse as much as my baby will allow but I gotta do both sides...aah how do I ease this lump! I’m scared it will become mastitis

I had a BIG one under my right arm that appeared during engorgement, it’s awful! I stopped breastfeeding about a week ago and its still there, but slowly disappearing. I definitely second the hot showers and massage!

Hot showers and hot wash cloths while sleeping! I pump and have my fiancé massage it out :)

i had this same thing under my right arm. mine appeared right when my milk came in and i think mine just went down with time and hot showers.

Try making a “U” shape with the hand you’re not holding baby with and squeeze your breast. That’s what the LC showed me because I was getting the same thing.

Massage it. Hot showers will make your milk come out and it’ll reduce. Pumping sometimes helps

I pump and kind of bend over at the waist so that gravity helps. Or they call it dangle feeding if you just breastfeed. I also put a heating pad on my boobs to “loosen” it up

My LC suggested doing the football hold with baby while he’s nursing. His bottom lip is the strongest part of the sucking motion so it helps!

Extra milk glands. If breast tissue develops only surgery will get rid of them. It sucks. I'm waiting to get s quote to see how much.
