Breakups- and dating new people

After a break up after being with them for so long. How soon did you start dating again? And did it feel like you were cheating ?

We broke up a week ago, and out of spite I made a pof account. And I actually met a nice guy on there and we’ve been texting for the last week. And we’re going on a date Monday night.

Part of me feels like I’m cheating because we just recently broke up. But I have to keep telling myself I’m not cheating. We’re not together.

I am still currently living in his house because I have no where to go. So I am now trying to save up to get my own place. So maybe that’s one of the reasons I feel like this ? We were together for 6.5 years. And it feels so weird to no longer be together. But also part of me is feeling relieved because I’m no longer being controlled ?

Talking to this guy for the last week, I’ve come to realize that i believe I have actually stopped loving my ex a long time ago but I was not one for just giving up completely. I always fought for the relationship. Even though we continued to fight every single day.
