Self soothing

I've start self soothing tonight I gave my baby her bottle, put her in her crib then just start talking saying time for bed, mummy loves you and left. I waited outside the room as she shares with me because we haven't got the room to move her, anyway she was playing in her crib and then started to cry, (I'm not going to let her cry) so went back into her room, didn't pick her up just hold her hand and she went to sleep, which is great for the first night. However she still wakes up for feeding in the night so should I still rock her to sleep or put her straight back into her crib and go to sleep by herself??? I'm a bit confused.
